Lego minifigs blasting off to space

NASA’s Atlas V rocket, equipped with Juno space probe, won’t take any astronauts to space, but it will have three very special passengers on board. The space agency has teamed up with Lego to create three outerspace-ready minifigs for the rocket’s five year journey to Jupiter.
The figures include Lego versions of Roman god Jupiter, his sister (and the space probe’s namesake) Juno, and astronomer Galileo. The toy company worked closely with NASA scientists in creating the minifigs to ensure the figures would not compromise the rocket’s sensitive equipment. Each figure is made from aluminum instead of the usual brightly-colored plastic.
