Mashable asked the creators of the popular Tumblr, When Parents Text, Lauren Kaelin and Sophia Fraioli, what some of their favorites from the site were, and they found these fifteen classics. As Fraoli remarked, it’s easy to see the appeal of such a concept. “Parental texting is almost always funny,” says Fraioli. “We usually laugh the hardest at the complete misunderstandings that tend to take place on our site. Sometimes these misunderstandings are caused by technological fumbles, but more often then not, they highlight a generational and technological divide that exists between parents and their kids. Most of us can relate to our parents just, ‘not getting it,’ and that tends to be where hilarity ensues.” Your parents may not have been able to afford a car for your sixteenth birthday, but laughs like these are the gift that keeps on giving.
